I finished S2 of Barry. It's going to be a long wait until March.

On to Chernobyl...

Let's see:

- Winona Ryder and Matthew Modine are key veteran actors
- It's about dumb kids with dumb powers
- Every episode is about how special and unique they all are
- Leans heavily on nostalgia

I bet there's a bunch of British accents and still more cultural pandering too

So they just horsefeathering brought Garret Dillahunt back as a totally different character? The horsefeathers is going on, I spent like 2+ episodes waiting for everyone in town to yell “GOD DAMMIT, JACK, WE horsefeathering KNOW IT’S YOU.”

Doesn't even get some basic facts about the show right. Stranger Things is great.

Stranger Things S3 was horsefeathering great. I think I enjoyed it more than Season 1 and they really ramped up the gross-out/gore effects for this season. Very John Carpenter-esque.

I haven't seen the new Stranger Things season yet, but the reviews and opinions I've seen for it seem to be totally random. Not polarizing, no bell curve, just all over the map.

Anyone else watched Dark on Netflix? It feels like some Germans read the playbook from Lost and used it to avoid the show deteriorating as the mystery unfolds. If you like sci-fi and/or shows that ooze with mystery and don't mind subtitles/dubs, you should watch it.

I saw a preview for it and it looked to be exactly as you described it: a German Lost knockoff. You're saying the ending doesn't suck? I might try it.

It might eventually go downhill(it's 2 seasons and they definitely set up an ambitious 3rd), but thus far it's very good.

strangers things isn't bad, i'm just over the gimmick and the product placement is out of control. also a lot of the characters are really annoying. every scene with winona ryder and coked out david harbour just stresses me out. the whole mall storyline was really dumb, too. steve is supposed to be cool, why is he chasing conspiracies with little kids? the stuff with the main group of kids is still fun.

I horsefeathering love Euphoria. My only regret is that I no longer do hallucinogens. My god the direction and general atmosphere of the show is really something awesome.

Horrifying for parents though.
