Stunning food combo discovered:

(2) candy corns on top of salty potato chip

Tastes like a funnel cake. Amazing.

Any Chicago people try Pizza Friendly Pizza? It's pretty new, I guess it replaced Bite Cafe this summer. But holy horsefeathers, it's the best Detroit style pizza I've ever had. It's been a while since I've had Pequods (definitely pre-pandemic), but this might be my new favorite among all the thicker crust options in the city.

I've been meaning to try this, and as someone who switched from Dominos to Jets for their go to garbage pizza option, this was the perfect review to find.

Discovered today that air fried chicken is unsurprisingly not as good as oil fried chicken, but is absolutely just as delicious cold as cold fried chicken.

Also, Trader Joe’s elote seasoning on popcorn is crazy good.

We just got an air fryer and have been enjoying it immensely. We did chicken nuggets using almond flour and panko to make it a little healthier and they were shockingly good.

There are certain things that, when done in the air fryer, are just as good as oil fried (french fries for one, are just as good IMO), but there are some that are noticeably not as good, but the caloric benefits are worth switching over for. Chicken is one of those. A proper piece of fried chicken is always going to trounce a piece of air fried chicken, but shaving off several hundred calories is worth the trade-off.

You can make grilled cheese sandwiches in the air fryer which are a) delicious but b) no one thinks of it

I've not had anything from an air fryer that tastes as good as the non air fryer version.

I've never owned a deep fryer, so the air fryer is a huge upgrade for fries, tots, chicken nuggets, etc. over baking

Is owning a deep fryer as a home appliance a normal thing?

My wife grew up with a deep fryer. Just a countertop version with a single basket, but her dad would fry stuff all the time. We never had one.

The fry daddy is like a $20 appliance. We have one that hasn't been used in a very long time since we got a Breville, which has basically replaced our oven, and has an air fryer option.

there's a butcher around that makes uncooked breaded chicken cutlet which is delicious when fried in oil, and taste like cardboard in the air fryer.

If your oven does convection, you don’t need an air fryer.

I've had a convection oven for 6 years and have never used the convection feature.

I don't like math, so all the time conversions make my brain hurt

I use my convection all the time for stuff like frozen fries and never have bothered with any sort of conversion.

Man, all you people with your abundance of countertop appliances!

We had a pizzazz in college. I haven't seen one since.

I like how you include your servants like they're part of your family

"BUTLER JIMMY, MAKE ME SOME TOTINO PIZZA ROLLS!!"

ssr's butler, named Jimmy, fires up the pizzazz

Its actually a stone wood fire pizzazz that has to be manually cranked by 4 servants staff.

and the wood is purpleheart. No longer pillaged from virgin Amazon forests, however, since ssr has found making money in the "green economy" to be far more lucrative then his old slash and burn farm building enterprise in central Brazil. No, instead he just displaced one of those farms to grow his ironwoods, and hired (quite cheaply) said farmers to tend to his new moncultured forest.

I have a large, double basket deep fryer, and I pity those who don’t.
