Anyone into fitness?
Anyone into fitness?
Who is into fitness? And what do you do to get your fix?
(And, no, I don't mean "fitness whole pizza in my mouth.")

Re: Anyone into fitness?
Compound weight lifting (and weightlifting) movements like squats, bench press, deadlifts, overhead presses, cleans, and snatches are scientifically proven to be best for becoming more athletic and getting a better, longer life. Everything else are just short-term fixes.
Sadly, I can't squat anymore without my groin muscles deciding they did enough work for a week and giving out almost immediately. I wish I could say I knew how to fix that.

My goals for this year were to quit smoking and lose 40 pounds. I have quit smoking and only have 60 pounds to go.

I lost 10 lbs. by getting Bronchitis. Between not really wanting to eat and not being able to drink beer it was the best diet ever apart from the coughing and not being able to breathe.

My wife always said that mono was the best weight loss program she was ever on.

If you really want to lose weight, just get gout. That horsefeathers will make you not eat/drink certain things ever again like beer for me. Lost 45 lbs so far in the past year. Still got like another 60 to go though.
