Guess what a celebrity with a life did this time...

Louie Anderson and Meat Loaf both expired. I was always lukewarm on Louie outside of this stellar performance in Coming to America, but he should have won every Emmy ever as Christine Baskets.

It's floating around that Meat Loaf died of COVID after railing against Australian vaccine mandates for months. If true, then we finally know what he wouldn't do for love.

Yup, I kinda figured that, in the other thread it was mentioned that he was a huge Trump supporter.

If we're going to have a celebrity death megathread, it should at least be titled "Guess what a celebrity with a life did this time..."

Meat Loaf was a garbage Trump loving conservative, but Bat Out Of Hell II was the first album I ever owned so I have a stupid soft spot for that dumb horsefeathers. Also when Jim Steinman passed, who was his longtime collaborator and pretty much the songwriter responsible for all of Meat Loaf's success, he gave an interview talking about Steinman and his legacy that was really tragic to read because even reading his comments you can see when he made the realization that his best friend had died and he was never going to see him again and he loses it. Wasn't even an audio/video interview, just text and it's kind of gut-wrenching to read it.

I heard him in St. Louis on the 4th of July. He was playing an outdoor thing downtown while we were walking our kids past to see the fireworks. Wishing now that I'd diverted to actually watch him for a bit.

Losing Jessica Fletcher and Cracker (Hagrid) back-to-back like this is a bit much for the murder-mystery crowd. Rule of three hopefully spares the cast of Only Murders in the Building.

MMA fighter Anthony Rumble Johnson died. He had been dealing with an unnamed illness for a while. Sucks.

Jason David Frank, also known as the Green Power Ranger (and the White Power Ranger, and a bunch of other colors of Power Rangers) died at age 49. No cause out there yet, but some rumor of suicide. His second wife filed for divorce a few months back, supposedly alleging an affair.

First movie I ever worked on was called "The One Warrior" which you can find around as "The Dragon Warrior" which he was in and I highly recommend it as a so-bad-it's-good watch. He was the big fish for that low budget movie. A lot of us were in a little bit of awe because many of us grew up with Power Rangers. My buddy, in particular, was super thrilled about him because he was a huge Power Rangers fan growing up and JDF was also a devout Christian and my buddy was strongly religious as well, so he viewed him as a good role model. JDF was a very nice person, but at the wrap party he totally hooked up with someone in front of everybody and it greatly disappointed my friend. Was definitely a "never meet your heroes" situation.

He was nice, otherwise, just couldn't keep it in his pants I guess. He did say the most surreal feeling about his fame was when he stepped on an action figure of himself in the middle of the night that his kid played with.

He had also transitioned into an MMA career over a decade ago. I'm sure personal struggles were the culprit, but I wonder if he was suffering from any concussions he may have received in his MMA career.
