My garage is so cold that drinks inside the fridge exploded. Luckily there isn't much out there right now (and the beer is safe), but what a pain in the ass

East Coast people...I'm in the Boston suburbs for work from Chicago. I was relatively surprised when they shut down the office last night going into today. It's obviously coming down now, but doesn't seem too terrible compared to the snow storms I'm used to in Chicago. Is this supposed to get worse? My flight back is tomorrow at around 4:30 and I'm cautiously optimistic....

yes, it's going I get worse, especially Boston area. The wind is blowing 70+ in spots. Tonight's commute is the reason lots of stuff is closing.

Yeah I thought I'd heard Boston was supposed to get the most snowfall from this.

Got it, could see that being a big issue along the coast. I'm a half hour west of Boston...just a long day at the hotel and hopefully I can get out at some point tomorrow.

I live by downtown Boston. Lots of horsefeathers is flooding and I can’t see out my window. I’ve done heavy snow but the flooding and wind is new. Not sure how much snow we’ve gotten yet

Most comprehensive insurance plans have a provision for natural disasters or acts of god... I doubt that 2002 Nissan had full coverage though

I regret not making a "there will be mud" tweet in response to the forecasted rain in previously fire ravaged socal.

Back to school today after 5 snow days wrapped around the weekend. we got about 11" of snow in a place where 1 inch closes school for a day. I built the largest snow fort in Eastern Shore of Maryland history, rivaling the one we built in my back yard in Chicago during the blizzard of '79 or '78 or whatever.
