Got lucky and my whole family left Corpus Christi to central Texas for my cousins wedding so no one was in the storm. All houses survived and minimal damage to my Aunt's restaurant on a floating dock in Corpus. Family has a condo in Port Arkansas and don't think that one faired as well but can be rebuilt.

Friends in Houston also very lucky as damage was minimal where they lived. Though they all have had at least one family member who has had to evacuate and house now sits in 5 feet of water.

Hurricanes never phased me growing up but this one was just unreal. To grow like it did in 48 hours probably won't happen again in our lifetimes. I was in a 100 year flood in San Marcos in 1996 or 97. That was insane and this one is 100 times larger. Just can't fathom how it grew.

No, it's going to happen a lot more in our lifetime as the atmosphere continues to heat up. This is the Nth 100 year storm in the last 10 years. Everywhere is going to get a 100 year storm. The problem is people cannot put 2 and 2 together.

With Irma about to hit the islands and on track to cover Florida, Jose is now hot on her heals.

Not to get off track, but I read an article before Trump ran for President that reported when Trump enters a room there, he is announced by his personal butler and all guests must stand until he sits down or leaves the room. That's some kind of horsefeathers up.

I've never been this scared. I can't sleep and I've been having panic attacks. I don't fear for my life, but I'm sick to my stomach.

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.
