I must have serious MCU fatigue because that sounds terrible to me

This just sounds like a live action Spiderverse to me. Spiderverse was great but do we really need another one so soon?

It and Doctor Strange are about the only recent MCU announcements that have sounded all that interesting to me, honestly.

I haven't even bothered to watch the trailers for the Disney+ shows. I couldn't care less about Black Widow, Shang Chi, and Eternals movies. I was only ever barely a fan of Marvel comics, so I don't have any background on any of those. And while that was also true of Guardians of the Galaxy and those have been a lot of fun, I'm just so worn out with superhero movies.

I mean, Thor 4: More Thor could be a lot of fun like Ragnarok and I'd probably watch it if it gets great reviews. But these things are just so formulaic that I can't find myself getting excited any longer. After Endgame, they're all pretty firmly in my "I might rent it if I'm bored one night" category.

I loved the Marvel movies, but my interest in seeing more of them post-Endgame is pretty casual at best. Another Spider-verse cartoon would definitely be one of the few comic book flicks I'd get excited about, but a live action wannabe version sound, IMO, horsefeathering exhausting and way to horsefeathering precious for its own good.

I'm not begrudging anyone their feelings on the topic, but it's weird to hear everyone exhausted by the MCU when we haven't had any content there in over a year now (compared to the 3 a year we had been getting). To each their own, but I'm ready for all of it.

Personally, I'm not "exhausted" by it; Endgame just felt like a really satisfying and enjoyable culmination of this huge thing that had been going on for years. When I watched the Spider-Man movie that came after it, it was fine and fun, but very much felt more like something I watched out of obligation than anything else.

Like, once Marvel movies start rolling out focusing on new characters, I'll no doubt be right back in. But all the ones lined up about the pre-Endgame characters all feel like things I'll watch when I can get around to it.

Thor I'm looking forward to more based on it being a new Taika Waititi movie than a new Marvel movie.

I was pretty excited for the Falcon/Winter Soldier series, bummed that it got delayed. I don't know what to do with the Spider-Verse idea, but Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies have both been terrific so I'm excited for whatever they do there.

I am looking forward to Thor mostly because of this tweet:

Speaking of Sacha Baron Cohen, The Trial of the Chicago 7 is up on Netflix now and I liked it quite a bit.

I was just coming to say the same thing. Enjoyable movie. Honestly didn’t know much about the trial and couldn’t believe reading that most of the stuff that happened in the movie wasn’t exaggerated. What a crazy trial.

Yeah, I was playing the chalk there. I'm going to skip the spoilers. Going to be an entertaining couple of weeks.
