I haven't seen it, but it's in that RT range where I have the attitude that if I think would like a movie, I probably will end up liking it. I love mysteries, so the reviews haven't scared me off it.

Hopefully Murder on the Orient Express is enough of a commercial success that they update The Great Train Robbery.

I really like the visual look of this film but I can't help worrying that hollywood doesn't trust the audience enough to focus on the mystery and try to distract with unnecessary action sequences.

What on earth gives you that idea?

Wait, what was wrong with the SH movies? They were fun as hell.

They were fun, but they weren't about the mystery...they were about action bits and RDJ being wacky. If you went into those movies expecting a good detective/mystery flick, it wasn't that.

There were mysteries to be solved and he solved them; I'm not sure what wasn't there. Plus there's, like, half a dozen different versions of SH in pop culture at any given moment, so I'd rather have some variation myself.

This sounds like the regular complaints about how movie Batman is never a "detective," when detective Batman would be boring as hell. The dude dresses up like a bat and beats up themed criminals; just punch some horsefeathers into the Batcomputer and get back to work.

And MotOE, in any form, isn't some kind of parlor game for the reader or viewer to try and solve; it is, just like every famous detective story, someone insanely and completely unrealistically clever suddenly pulling the answer out of their ass at the last minute because of ridiculous minutiae that either nobody else would notice or it's not actually possible for anyone else to notice. The quality and the fun is all in the setting and characters.

http://superheroes.theringer.com/

I starting looking over this list and noticed that I have never seen any movie in the 50-30 section of rankings. I've seen a good amount from 29-1, but there's any awful lot of movies there I don't even have interest in seeing.

Wait, you've seen NONE of the movies in the bottom 20?

I personally recommend you watch Darkman.

I may have seen Flash Gordon as a kid but have no recollection.

Batman Forever is possible. I was a big fan of the Michael Keaton ones, and probably would have been interested in it. The only thing I remember about it, however, are pics and gifs and whatnot. I've seen zero of the recent superman properties and none of the post-Tobey spidermen.

The more I think of it, the more I must have seen Batman Forever, but I literally remember nothing about it.

lol, I've seen all 50...surely there's some super sad prize for that?

Even out of the honorable mentions that go to 90, there were only 13 I haven't seen.

I get that, but considering how few movies I do see in a year, it's not surprising. I'm not sure I've been to a theater for a non-Moana/Beauty and the Beast movie this year. I've seen enough Avengers and Iron Man movies to realize I'm not missing anything by skipping most of that universe.

Max Steel (2016) - I don't even remember any marketing for this?
Captain America (1990)
Supergirl (1984)
Power Rangers (2017)

and I feel like I've seen a majority of these because of late night TBS / TNT / AMC / FX

I've seen 84 Supergirl a number of times. I really enjoyed it when I was kid, actually. But it's super dumb.

Also, Captain America Winter Soldier is way, way underranked at #18. It might honestly be my #1.

I can guess that I've seen 10 or fewer of those movies without even looking at the list.

I will now look at the list and report back

never understood the negative comments about the wolverine. i thought it was great!

seen 41 out of the top 50. blade at #55 is a travesty; it should be much higher.

EDIT: did they forget about sin city?

So I've seen 13 beginning-to-end, a little higher than I expected. Though half of those were Batman movies..

Ugh, if we're going by anal retentive complete beginning to end standards, fine...but seeing at least 50% of a movie on TV? You two are a couple of lying liars who lie.

Even by a "random 50%" standard it doesn't go up much. I actively avoid most Marvel movies
