Quite a difference in budget range. At least the low budget ones can be forgiven.

I will forever think of Paul Rudd when I see that mac and me clip though.

20th Century Fox is in early development on a prequel to the 1993 cult classic The Sandlot, with David Mickey Evans, the original’s writer and director, attached to co-write the script with Austin Reynolds.

I posted the article this is movie is to be based off of in another thread...

Fox is poised to win the hot lit property in the marketplace at the moment, a giant Happy Meal that everyone wanted. Ben Affleck is attached to direct, and Matt Damon to star in a true crime story written by Jeff Maysh and published in The Daily Beast several days ago on an ex-cop who rigged the McDonald’s Monopoly game, allegedly stealing over $24 million dollars and sharing it with an unsavory group of co-conspirators who offered kickbacks to the mastermind.

Here was the article if you missed it...it's long...

I wonder if the protagonist will be the FBI agent or the thief. Gotta be the FBI agent, right?

It's going to be 3 hours for sure, that story has so many characters and stuff going on.

No, definitely gonna be the thief, IMO. Make it like Henry Hill in Goodfellas. Things are great!...until they aren't.

I love how some idiot put classified ads out asking for their missing pieces. Even when I was playing at 15-16 i knew how rare those pieces were and that everybody had the same incomplete board.

Really interesting article and I think it will make for a great movie.

If you have an affinity for the Winnie the Pooh characters at all, Christopher Robin is a really enjoyable movie. Great family movie. My son was bored for the first 30-45 min, but he really liked it after that.

Yeah, I don't know what movie they watched. I mean, it was very formulaic...just done very well. Apparently it's mostly that first setup section of the movie that people have issues with.

68% from critics and 92% from fans is not "mixed at best". plus banedon didn't even say anything about its public reception, just that him and his kid liked it.

people can have winnie the pooh

A 59 on Metacritic and and a 68% on RT is kind of the textbook definition of a movie with mixed reviews. Obviously that doesn't mean someone is automatically going to dislike or can't like the movie, but come on.

I was supposed to be in Washington state for a bachelor party this weekend but instead I got hit with an awful case of food poisoning so I watched a bunch of stuff.

Too Funny to Fail was really great. I just watched the Dana Carvey Show over the winter so it was all pretty fresh. I can’t believe they didn’t go to HBO to do the type of show they wanted to, but I guess HBO had Mr. Show at the time so maybe they preferred to make their home elsewhere. Also, LOL at the idea of Fallon being part of that cast.

Ingrid Goes West was really good, although I was so uncomfortable for the entire thing. Like I’ve seen others here say, the end fell flat.

Fences was pretty good. Denzel and Viola Davis were really strong.

Some Hulu documentary on the Improv was a dumb waste of time with no focus.

Selma had some real strong performances, and a lot of the more specific details of that time and the dynamics between different people/groups was stuff I didn’t know much about, so it was well worth the watch.

Robert Redford is retiring. Talk about an actor that never really lost "it". That guy made bad movies good and good movies great.
