Baby Driver is a lot of fun, it's just also very forgettable.

https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-pg-13-deadp ... 1830233611

Concrete details on the mysterious PG-13 re-release of Deadpool 2 are finally here. It’s now officially called Once Upon a Deadpool, will be in theaters only from December 12 through 24, and $1 of each ticket sold will go to the charity horsefeathers Cancer, renamed “Fudge Cancer” to keep the PG-13 going.

Deadline broke the news and spoke to star Ryan Reynolds about it. “Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006,” Reynolds said. “I’ve said ‘No’ since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…”

As previously revealed, Savage will co-star in this edited-down retelling of Deadpool 2, which runs about three minutes shorter than the original cut. Savage, Reynolds, and the crew shot all of the new footage in a single day to create a framing device reminiscent of The Princess Bride.

“The response to the PG-13 repackaging is also being watched closely by the leadership at Disney and its Marvel Studios and may inform the way they incorporate Deadpool into their plans,”

My instincts say "oh god no" but they said the same about Better Call Saul, so what do I know.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I wanted to find out what happens after Breaking Bad because I thought it ended so perfectly, but the little bit that we've seen in BCS has piqued my interest, and my immediate reaction to hearing this news was pure glee so I guess I'm ready to drop back into that world.

My questions are: will this be 100% focused on Jesse, or will there be more than token appearances from some of the remaining characters? Could this be a dual ending for both Jesse and Jimmy/Saul/Gene and their paths again collide?

For the second question, the issue with having Saul involved is that his show is still going on and I don't think next season will be the last (assuming the movie comes out between seasons 5 and 6), so you'd have 4 choices: end the show after season 5, drop Gene from any movie storyline, include him in the storyline in a bit part that won't affect the show greatly or resolve the Gene arc and drop it from BCS.

Lots of thoughts and questions.

According to this article it will be Jesse focused post B.B, but you are right, I hope there are other remaining characters as well.

Cranston was on the Dan Patrick Show:

"Yes, there appears to be a movie version of 'Breaking Bad, but I honestly have not even read the script," Cranston said. "I have not gotten the script, I have not read the script. So there's the question of whether or not we'll even see Walter White in this movie. Think about that one."

Dude's a pretty funny actor, but man, he REALLY lucked out ending up on BB, drama-wise. He's...kinda terrible in dramatic roles otherwise, IMO.

Terrible is overselling it. He's fine. Pretty forgettable in things like Drive, but it's not like you remember him being terrible or anything.

Why, did I have a stroke?

Off the top of my head, I thought he was especially terrible in Trumbo, The Infiltrator and All the Way, and then an assorted smorgasbord of supporting actor appearances he's had in different dramas over the last 5 years or so where he almost never fails, IMO, to show up and do little more than glower and completely try to devour everything around him as if it were made of ham.

Outlaw King on Netflix is worth a watch. Would have made a good mini-series, but it works as a movie too. Pretty historically accurate look at that time period.

No kilts, thank god. Who'd have thought that the English and Scots, two peoples co-existing at the same time and on a small island would be dressed and armored exactly the same?

horsefeathers. The 2001 4k release was pushed back yet again because there's now so few DVD/BR production options here in North America.

A high school buddy of mine lucked out yet again and managed to get cast in a good movie, as opposed to the single good TV show he had a reoccuring character on. He was on 42, but that movie blew butts. He even managed to make the trailer at :22

Edit: I've since become aware this is more of an anthology (on Netflix) than a movie but whatever.

See, it's an apocalyptic future where the cities are now giant tanks that ride across the wasteland and battle each other, like Washington-tank vs London-tank showdown! And it's super cool because the Washington-tank has the US Capitol as a hood ornament. Because that level of technology would be better served making giant battle bots and not rebuilding, you know, cities.
This has potential to be the worst movie ever made.
