every time you are tempted to post, you should ask yourself "would imb post this" if the answer is yes, trust that i have already posted it. If the answer is no, then don't post.

it’s mean-spirited garbage that has no reason to exist. i have made bad jokes before and so has imb and so has everyone but it’s 2019 and the world is terrible enough as it is without people who want to tell themselves they are good people doing stuff like this. if you want to crack jokes about how you think some broad is ugly and looks like a man, go to reddit and live in your own filth.

Telemarketers spoofing numbers to spam your cellphone is already a problem (and frankly, I don't know why its still legal, but whatever), but that tactic is transparent enough now that it's easy to ignore those calls.

Today, however, I got a robocall that somehow spoofed MY phone number. My phone thinks I'm calling myself. It's clearly a scam call (it's a low quality recording of someone (with broken english) saying that they are from Microsoft and that my IP Address was compromised so they are canceling......something).

They've called 8 times in the past hour, and I can't block my own number, so....don't know the solution (or if there even is one)

I've been getting one similar to that. It'll jump from being random area codes to being a 1-800 number to being, like, one digit off from mine, and it ALWAYS leaves a voicemail that only gets part of the message that says something, like, "to review this case, press 7." 5-6 times a day since Monday.

Mine weirdly comes up as "Dad", which is on my daughter's contact list (not mine), but it's my phone number.

But hey, hats off to the Spam/Telemarketing lobbyists for keeping these highly annoying and completely deceptive practices legal

It is not legal, it's just an extremely hard problem to solve and enforce.

So for about a week my wife can't hear the person she is calling nor can the other person hear her during phone calls. I know next to nothing about Iphones. I did notice the speaker icon greyed out and you can't turn it on when you try to call someone. Funny thing is, if she plays music on her phone speakers it plays fine. She did drop it about a week before this all started happening. Her phone does not have a headphone jack, so it's not mistakenly thinking it is using headphones.

The phone is an Iphone 7 i think

I also tried everything in this article besides a full restore
https://blog.fonepaw.com/iphone-speaker ... d-out.html

Anyone have any ideas? Or have something similar happen to them. It was just paid off this month too LOL.

I need to set up an accessible repository for some commonly used forms and guidelines. The files will mostly be Word/Excel/PDF files, and there doesn't need to be any editing access/ability for the end users.

Do you guys prefer Google Drive or Dropbox for this sort of application? I just need the ability to add people's email addresses to share the documents, and they need to be able to view them and/or download them to their own computers.

Welp, being a content moderator/admin for Facebook sounds like an absolutely horrific job. This is not an easy read:

That job sucks, but Cognizant in particular totally sucks.

I've never used Dropbox but Drive is more than sufficient for what you're describing.

Facebook really needs to be spending a ton of money for mental health and support services for their employees and contractors that have to deal with this.

I've used both. One thing I like about Dropbox is that it creates a "drive" that you can access from My Computer/Finder and you can open/save directly through your computer (vs. navigating to a web page). A lot of the people accessing these files use One Drive, but I'm not a fan.

This exists for Google drive, too, you just need a plug-in

Editing Dropbox files online is absolute trash. There's no reason to use it over Drive

As I stated in my original post, these aren't documents that require online editing. It is a mix of information, policies, and document templates
