I have a 10 year old and I’m getting a good five hours a day on the game. I guess I’m lucky because she goes right to dance everyday from school and that lasts until 8:30 or so.

They still make those baby jumper things that you can hang in a doorway, right? Or did those turn out to be recalled baby murder machines? Heck, even if they did, odds are pretty good you can dump a kid in one of those for a few hours of cowboy living.

Depending on size, a clothes basket works. When my son was 3 months old he had the cool baby holder thing-a-magig that I could rock with my feet. I’d play Madden and rock him at the same time. Once they start crawling that’s when the problems start.

I think the greatest DLC imaginable would be if they just re-released Red Dead Redemption. I’d love to play through that story again with these graphics.

Hell, they already have the voices recorded and the entirety of the terrain is there. How hard could it be?

I know there was an episode of The Simpsons where someone was babysitting Maggie by just sticking her under a laundry basket in the basement with a rock on top of it to weigh it down, and it would have been THE PERFECT GIF, but damned if I can find it.

That's a fantastic idea, why not? 75% of the map is already recreated in full (with some smaller changes due to the setting)

Spoiler: show
I haven't gotten anywhere close to the end but I read that the RDR1 territory is pretty barren in terms of activities and people are speculating its there for a future DLC or possibly multi-player

i get like an hour here and there to play rdr2, and when i do play i'm overwhelmed with all the different mission options that i usually just fart around on the horse for an hour and go to bed. then later online i'll see clips of people wrestling alligators and all this great stuff so i say next time i play i'm going to make real progress. but i never do.

From the Luis Valbuena thread:

CubinNY wrote:I always wanted the Cubs to get him back. I had him on the Cubs team in all my MLB games. So sad.

That happened to my Cubs team in 3 straight editions of The Show; I was playing just as my character from RttS, and 3 times the Cubs made a trade or signing at some point to bring him back.

Though he's topped by video game Cubs inexplicably signing or trading for Charlie Blackmon FOUR times.

mlb the show 18's charlie blackmon can go horsefeathers himself. the ai always puts the shift on him and he always hits AGAINST the shift. easy triple down the left field line.

I've barely played the 2018 version, but 2016 and 2017 Blackmon was a baffling monster of domination who completely offset the Cubs' perplexing decision to trade both Rizzo and Bryant with years of control left (yeah, I know Blackmon was actually awesome IRL in 2017, but video game Blackmon was just shy of Trout. He was an 8+ WAR player!). The last time the Cubs team my player was on won the WS, it was the 2020 season, and the lineup was anchored by 35-year old Blackmon slaying pitches left and right, and cleanup hitter Jason Heyward raking just shy of of 30 dongs.

This game can be horsefeathering WEIRD.

This always happened to me in my RTTS as a pitcher too. Cubs always acquired Blackmon, he was an absolute monster, Rizzo and Bryant for the little they were on the team sucked then were traded, Heyward put up MVP seasons, then there’d always be some weird old SP addition who pitched like a Cy Young candidate (I want to say it was like 2022 Jeff Samardzija or someone like him was a sub 3 era guy for a few years).

With mine they acquired other pitchers (or brought prospects) who were just OK at best. In the WS season, it was me and Hendricks pitching out of our minds and competing waaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond everyone else in baseball for the Cy Young.

Oh yeah Hendricks was always good with me too even when he was like 35. Also there’d always be some rookie position player who put MVP numbers with a ridiculous generated name.

I think I stopped playing RTTS after the fourth time I made it to the majors with the Cubs and none of the good players were there anymore.

Obsidian made Fallout New Vegas which, despite it's technical flubs at release, many consider to be the best because of Obsidians story they crafted for the game. They have a much darker sense of humor than Bethesda and probably are better at creating a compelling story as well. They made the original Fallout, so they know a thing or two about it.

The last two Fallouts sucked, so a non-Bethesda team making this game is good
