The Steam Link, which allows you to stream games to your television in high quality, is marked down 90% to $4.99 which is horsefeathering amazing.

I have one and I don't recommend using it over any WiFi (even 5ghz) at all. Your mileage may vary but I had to hard line it in to get it to function without dropping.

They even say that on the steam link page. I was wondering if that was just a "cover your ass" thing.

Good to know, but at $5 I can't complain. Plus I'm in a tiny studio apartment. My computer is like 5 feet from both my TV and my modem.

I put a ton of time into Fallout 3 on my old Xbox 360. I played the campaign multiple times, but always one way. I played the entire game as a "Good Karma" protagonist, and tried to avoid doing anything perceived as bad by the game. So when you go to Tenpenny Tower and have the option of blowing up Megaton I always chose the good option. Honestly, Mr. Tenpenny reminds me of our current Commander-in-chief these days lol.

Now, an old friend of mine had a much different sense of morality, especially when it came to videogames, and he chose the option where you blow up Megaton.

Man, the special effect when the A-bomb detonates is pretty cool to witness, but it hurt my fragile heart and I just stood there shaking my head saying "That's messed up"...

Curious where Rockstar is going at this point. In between GTA 4 and GTA 5, they put out, I think, half a dozen games. In between GTA 5 and RDR2, they've released....nothing (besides GTA Online updates). I wonder/worry if so much of the delay for RDR2 was changing it so that it can have a similar life to GTA Online.

Yeah, any single player DLC profit would have been a drop in the bucket compared to the ridiculous amount of money they've made off of GTAO. It's insane that the game is still a bestseller this long after release. For better or for worse, this is likely the model for them going forward.

it sucks, but my expectations for red dead are honestly pretty low as a result. it only makes sense that the game will have a nice but short single player and then shove you into online forever. hopefully i’m wrong.

But GTA V's single player wasn't short. They can do a robust single player game AND an extensive online experience.

i think tree knows that.

i believe what he's saying is that they will perhaps dedicate more time, money, and resources into the online aspect since that is where the $ is at. if it's not as lucrative for the single player option then why would they bother?
