I very much want to but have no time to play. In December I'll be blasting through Spiderman, RDR2 and AC:Odyssey

Gonna need more game announcements before I know if I want that. FF7 is the only one so far that interests me.

One would have to assume Twisted Metal and Crash Bandicoot will be there. Maybe even RE1? It sort of went mostly ignored but I was a huge fan of Nightmare Creatures

RE1 & 2, Chrono Cross, Spyro, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, Tony Hawk and Castlevania Symphony of the Night are all ones I'd like to see.

I never really considered the PSone a classic game console. It always seemed like more of an awkward middle man between the classic 16 bit era and more modern gaming. I think a classic PS2 console would be pretty sweet. That said there are some classics including FFVII.

Just sell me retro games on my existing consoles. I don't want to buy a mini ps1 that I'll play for a max of 5 hours and like 5 out of the 15 games that are on it.

Yeah, I'm real glad I didn't get the NES classic, cuz the Nintendo Online service sounds like eventually it should have most/all of those games.

And then I can buy these sweet NES style joycons

the raspberry pi/retropie is a blast if you know how to build one and obtain roms (vimm's lair). the speed-up option is a lifesaver for those long role playing games when farming for items/experience is necessary.

Yeah I know people bemoan the raspberry pi because it's "not the same" but outside of hardware aesthetics does it really matter? I've got USB SNES controllers that check that box and a tiny $70 box with 7000+ games across multiple consoles and systems. Or I could drop $100 for something that looks neat on my shelf with 30 games.

I know raspberry pi fanboys are some of the most annoying nerds among the nerds, but I don't give a horsefeathers, it's more economical and way more fun. The PlayStation classic one makes a lot of sense though because it was a disc based system with its own bios and emulating that on a pi is difficult, if not impossible because of hardware limitations, but the nes and SNES ones made zero sense to me.

It makes plenty of sense, IMO, since the vast, vast, VAST majority of people who play and buy video games are some degree of just being a casual gamer.

Telltale Games laid off all but 25 people today. They'll continue as a small team and finish the last episode of The Walking Dead but all other projects are cancelled.
