Has anyone ever done the "traditional" wedding gift thing? I've never done it before, but this Saturday is my 5th anniversary and I thought my wife would really like if I did 5 small gifts all in the traditional gifts.

1st year- Paper
2nd year- Cotton
3rd year- Leather
4th year- Silk, fruit, or flowers
5th year- Wood

I was going to write her a poem or something for Paper and Flowers are easy. But I have no idea for something cheap for Cotton, Leather or Wood. Any thoughts?

If you need to ask a message board how to give your wife wood after five years, you're doing it wrong.

Raw - wood is slang for your penis. That's why it's funny.

I didn't get it because mine is like fine leather. It's smooth, makes women sweat in the heat, and beefy.

*and I probably went too far

So glad that my Wife and I don't believe in this kind of stuff. Just another day for us.

Edit: It's not just another day. It's special, but no gifts are going to be exchanged.

Why would you and your divorced wife celebrate wedding anniversaries?

No [expletive] right? Things change when you met "the one". Without making you guys shed tears....I'm in love what can I say.

And not just with myself.

LOL, it just had to be wood. And you just had to ask how to give it.

It's like C.C. is the Riddler and Banedon just punched him in the balls with Batman detective work.

I know, I know....

I never thought in a million years I would. My now Wife felt the same, but we felt it was best to have rights with each other in case something happens to us and what not. We don't wear rings or anything like that. It's something we just wanted to do and of course we plan on spending the rest of our lives together. So what the hell.
