Every subsequent season has been better than the one before it and BCS overtook BB at the close of S03 in my opinion

No surprise about season 5 being the best so far

Agreed. It's also become one of my favorite shows to just look at, too. BB was beautifully shot, but a lot of the times it felt more like they were trying really hard with some of the more gimmick-y aspects. BCS looks amazing, and it just somehow feels more "natural."

It started so slowly, that some of my friends that were die hard BB fans gave up before the first season ended. Not me. I loved every season equally. I still prefer Breaking Bad, but it's pretty close between the two.

Haven't watched Monday's episode yet, but I could watch an hour of Saul trying to sell burner phones to people and be very happy. On the other hand, I'm still not terribly interested in the Mike/Gus/Lalo/Nacho storyline. I know it will all come together and be great, but part of me wishes I could just sign up for the Saul and Kim Good Times Hour instead.

Weird, I really like the Lalo storyline, especially knowing that its going to eventually merge back into the Jimmy story.

Yeah, I'm always up for some more Nacho, and Lalo has been a great addition. He's the scariest Salamanca so far, IMO, in that he's still completely ruthless and dangerous, but he's charming and actually smart.

Yeah this show, unlike many others, doesn't have a storyline that I'm like "Can we go back to the other thing?"

That was the darkest episode they've done to date, I think.

Spoiler: show
Jimmy actually driving criminals to commit crimes
Mike drinking again - starting to see how he and his daughter in law go bad
Gus threatens Nacho's dad

If this is the way the season is going, I'm here for it. Also, agreed with Mojo on Lalo 100%. With that combo, he reminds me a little bit of Omar Little

Lalo might be the first television character to seriously unnerve me. He just oozes that personality of "why am I letting this guy talk me into this." Amazing casting.

Just saw something about tonight's episode I'd prefer to have revealed as I was watching spoiled in a headline of a news story... so beware of that.

Is it in reference to a character making their first appearance in the series tonight? If so, it was pretty easy to see that happening after last week.

Honestly, I think Giancarlo Esposito or Michael Mando are the weakest links. And that's pretty impressive, considering they're both pretty fantastic in their own right.

Saul, Kim, Chuck, Hamlin, Mike, Werner, Lalo, Hector, etc... are all just amazing, and perfectly cast.

That little improv bit between Kim and Jimmy is one of my favorite moments of the series.

Spoiler: show
Also, really interesting look to see Jimmy stay mostly static/out of trouble while Kim, Howard, and Mike all backslide around him. Howard's transformation in particular is deeply unsettling; I love it. I wonder how long Jimmy has been torturing him...

Spoiler: show
Can you explain a little more what you mean about Howard's transformation? I think I know what you are talking about, he has a lot of guilt for Chuck's death and seemingly wants to make it right by hiring Jimmy. I am not sure if this is going to play a larger part in the plot or if this is being depicted as Jimmy's final chance to exit off the Saul Goodman highway before its too late.
