Is lawyering as tedious as the show makes it seem? All of the paperwork and micro-managing and whatnot seems like hell. I'd got nuts in a week and jump out of a window.

ALSO: it's Jimmy's firm being ridiculously by the book? Is anyone really going to give a [expletive] over a Beanie Baby?

I think a lot of lawyer jobs are quite tedious. But it really depends. I only do appeals and I would not consider it tedious at all. There's very little to nothing that I would consider micro-managing, and while there is "paperwork," that's essentially all brief writing (which, sure, if one hated writing that would seem tedious, but otherwise I would not consider it so).

Man, there's no way Gus won't be showing up at some point. Mike will be looking for an out to get away from the Salamanca madness. It's ridiculous how well they're making all of this fit together.

I'm wondering how Mike gets out of the Salamanca trouble. Gus would be the perfect way to do that. Only question is how does Mike hook up with Fring? Also, who is Mike pointing the gun at in next week's preview?

On the AMC app there is a scene, presumably the opening scene, from next week's episode that is Jimmy McGill greatness if anyone wants to watch.

I love how they have so much they can explore with Fring; clearly things changed drastically between when he met Don Eladio, and was effectively forced/threatened into working FOR him, and by the time he has his final confrontation with Eladio, where Eladio still thinks he's above Fring but they clearly have a VERY different relationship than Fring working for him. At some point Gus at least somewhat breaks away from Eladio and the Salamancas; him and Mike basically working together to do this would be pretty awesome.

I guess it's mostly how it seems SO hyper-detail-oriented.

I just read something that said it's been 3 years since Breaking Bad ended, which when I think about it, makes total sense, and yet it also seems impossible.

I knew about BHC and 48 Hours because they played them back-to-back one day not that long ago.

am I to believe you people are just now learning about Jonathan Banks?

I never had a working knowledge of his imdb profile but all these things were all over the internet during mike's time on breaking bad

While doing a Christmas movie marathon with my wife last Christmas, I was pleasantly surprised to see Mike in Gremlins.

Also, in a show with [expletive] Saul Goodman and Mike Ehrmentraut, Kim Wexler might be my favorite character.

the only thing keeping this from being the best show ever is that breaking bad exists

I'm having a harder time each week convincing myself that Breaking Bad was better.

I love BCS but BB is still the king IMO. I just watched Face Off again last night on the Sundance Channel. So GD good.

Yep. BCS does a great job making relatively low stakes circumstances seem interesting. And maybe Breaking Bad had the advantage of being able to get right into drug deals gone bad and murder and money. But they did not have the advantage of throwing all this fan service into the equation from the outset.

It's all going to be one giant, seamless epic series when BCS is done, so fortunately we won't have to choose.

It's too bad these actors continue to age, because I could see Gilligan creating even more spin offs from BB if Father Time permitted.
