I love the possibility that the Han movie will be a buddy comedy. Especially sandwiched between epXIII and IX, which historically will be the darkest part of the trilogy

lol, that's not the first time you've messed those up. It's ok...if you say Ep8 and Ep9, we'll understand.

So the whole Vader scene at the end of Rogue One was basically a last minute add....

http://io9.gizmodo.com/darth-vaders-big ... 1793296029

“They came up with a whole shopping list of ideas. Seventy percent we used, and maybe 30 percent felt a little too extreme. They were things you hadn’t seen him do before, and I wanted to stick to what Darth does in the original trilogy.”

I wanna see that 30% so bad.

http://ew.com/movies/2017/03/20/rogue-o ... -revealed/

An early version of the Rogue One script had them escaping, but it seems that was just in case Disney didn't want to do the "everybody dies" ending.

The tone of so many of these "OMG! R1 WAS SO DIFFERENT AT POINTS!!!" pieces are...weird. It's not unusual at all for movies to change drastically along the way.

Sure, but this is Star Wars so there's a hyper-interested aspect to every little bit of minutia. Plus these types of large storyline changes during development are something you never heard about with Lucas, so while it's common in the movie industry, it's not something that SW fans are very familiar with in their little pocket of the industry.

Wait, he made up the Luke & Leia are Vader's twins thing while making the second movie.

The weird thing is there is absolutely no depth to the star wars universe. Compared to something like Game of Thrones, where everything has a backstory that matters in the present and future, Star Wars is an incredibly simple story. They have a lot of freedom to change any part of the story at any time and it won't really matter.

Uhm, that's not the case at all. All 3 OT films were HUGELY changed along the way. The original ESB script is especially nutty.

let's not forget that one of the original ideas for ROTJ was to have the entire movie center around the rescue of Han Solo and Boba Fett as the primary villain.

Or how the climax was supposed to be the battle to destroy two Death Stars...and Obi-Wan would come back to life (because that's how the Force worked, apparently; once you are deemed worthy you are released from the "Force netherworld.") and helps Luke defeat Vader and the Emperor.

It's available everywhere though, so it's not really a big deal.

Not a big deal at all. The special edition at work is 3D which is worthless to me so I went regular BD.

I'm guessing g they release ep 7 and RO in 4K thugs holiday

I'm confused; I thought Wal-Mart, Target and Best Buy were each selling different exclusive versions outside of the generic one.

We have a steel book that has the 3D, BD and DVD. Don't know if the art is exclusive or what
