Blackhawks have scored more goals in the first period here than in their entire last playoff series in 2017.

Which was named after Black Hawk, right?

I think the name or at least logo will go the way of the Washington Football team or Cleveland Indians. They're still just higher hanging fruit.

I will say the Blackhawks really took the Edmonton crowd out of this game early.

As usual the great Blackhawks fan base has as many fans at a game as the home team.

I was going to say that the Blackhawk fans don't really travel well

This must be what it felt like to be some rando team like the 2007 d-backs and you get to be the beneficiary of a talented but hapless team punching themselves in the dick.

Big surprise Kesler is a horsefeathering Trumpster

I don't know how far the Hawks can go(probably the conference quarters at best) but yesterday was very enjoyable

Well still in this one after 2 despite a McDavid hat trick and the Hawks failing to convert on 7 minutes of PP time in the 2nd period.

Sure that wasn’t 17 minutes of pp time?

If the Oilers, Penguins and Predators all lose in the first round, this thing could get real fun real fast

I was feeling good about the CBJ over the Leafs after Game 1, but now I don't know.

I turned on the CBJ-Leafs game and it was 3-0 Leafs, just checked the score 4-3 CBJ. Nice comeback.

I know people like to rip on the Leafs and laugh at their misery, but after going through that with the Cubs and finally getting that championship, I find myself rooting for them. They have so many inept failures its sad to me (ok fine maybe a little funny).

I don't mind CBJ either, it took them awhile to get it together as a franchise (I miss those 5-6 wins against them every year as a Hawks fan) but now they are fun.

They couldn't do anything on offense for the first 2 1/2 games, but suddenly turned it on in the 3rd/OT last night. Would love to see them close it out tonight
