Week 11: Bears at Giants on Fox at noon

Postby jersey cubs fan » Tue Nov 15, 2016 3:40 pm

Sure the election was a disaster for many disenfranchised Americans, but won't somebody think of me, the upper middle class straight white guy who has to attend this game? I'm wearing Cubs gear.

The Bears are 7 point dogs, and at the risk of saying something profound, that's the point where they either lose by 20 or pull off a surprise win. Cutler was absolutely terrible last game, which is also when he goes out and pulls off miracle wins (at least in my memory). The defense looked good at times. The Giants are in danger of winning 5 games in a row and going 4 games over .500 and that is just not something this team does, and hasn't done in the regular season since the beginning of 2009. New York goes back to back with the Bears and Browns and follow it up with the incredibly mediocre Steelers. They have to be feeling pretty good about their chances to make up ground before facing Dallas again and it would just be fun to not let that happen. The high draft pick is already a lock at this point. I'm not seeing the urgency to lock in a top 2 pick. Just win this win and lose as many others as you want and I will consider this a fun time.

Or just lose, I really don't care.

There all is aching.

If the Bears are going to win just to horsefeathers with somebody's season, I'd rather they do that to the packers. Or have they already lost to them twice? I haven't been paying close enough attention to know for sure.

I wore my Cutler jersey to the bar on Sunday. Probably for the final time. It's faded from wear, but I'm just not proud to wear it anymore. Kill Eli!

Are we ready to collectively (not saying everyone did) stop hating the Floyd pick yet?

He has been very impressive lately. Still raw, but he's flashing big time.

Yeah, and he probably should have had a couple more sacks Sunday if not for some nice moves by Winston.

Floyd's been everywhere lately.

that's what sucks...i hate fox...but i like where fangios defense is headed. and i don't want to do the whole try to hire a HC and force a DC on him t hing again.

and i'm not sure i'd want to promote fangio to HC either.

Cutler upsets Vikings, maybe don't cut him!
Cutler throws 2 INTs and fumbles, Cut Cutler!
Cutler 8-9, 105 yards, TD 16 points in 3 drives....maybe don't cut him!

That was a pretty crappy drive. Took too long after the FB run for the 1st. And then a pretty lame holding call. Should have had points on that drive.

so Jordan Howard and Zac miller both leave with injuries. Kind of want to see Cutler sit so we can see what an offense looks like without their starting QB, RB, WR, TE, WR2 (is royal still hurt?) and at least 2 starting offensive linemen that I can think of, maybe 3

Edit: nvm Howard is back but now Sitton is down
