The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

Jets fired Morton. Nice to see a tough, correct call by this otherwise hapless org based on analytics. His offense ranked 24th overall per FO, 22nd and 26th against the pass. By comparison under Bowles and Gailey in 2015 they finished 14th with a top 10 passing game using the same metrics. Plus he just said or did dumb things all year. Todd Haley, please!

God I would kill to be able to watch Todd Haley piss off Jets fans for the next couple years.

Nah, if they bomb this year everyone gets fired. Haley’s a nut that should never be a HC, but he’s got Wade Phillips in him as an OC keeping up with league trends. What this team really really needs is better players, more skills and better athletes. They’ve ignored the numbers on QBs and pass rushers way too long. The promise of the Morton firing is that it’s the tiniest indication the org is using advanced metrics to make decisions. I think they kept and then fired Gailey for numbers reasons too - they went from 14th overall in 2015 to 31st so he was bounced.

It's insane that Bortles can look this good some games and so utterly incompetent others

Jags got screwed over on the fumble that Jack recovered. Ref called him down by contact when he definitely wasn't. That's a touchdown and 27-10 Jacksonville if they let the whole thing play out.

Yeah, I was shocked they didn't even mention that on the broadcast.

Really wish they'd swallow their whistles on those types of plays but you know the league wants to protect their players or something

Terrible DPI call against Bouye on the TD before halftime too.

I feel like that was Brady fishing for a PI too. Guy was blanketed and he just lollipops it up.

The Super Bowl fan vote is going to look like the 72 election.

Oh yeah and the pass went out of bounds AKA uncatchable.
