You are an insane person.

Detroit has six 10 win seasons IN THE SUPER BOWL ERA.

The Bears have won the division 5 times since the last time Detroit did.

You quite literally do not know anything about this sport.

I gave the Bears the hilariously low bar of seasons where they won more than half their games, and the Bears have a whopping 18 (probably; someone check my counting skills). The Lions appear to have 13. Now's the time for that chunky fresh horsefeathers comparison analogy to come back into play.

If the Bears can luck into winning a damn SB, then, god help us, so can the Lions, and then ALL BETS ARE OFF.

Lions went 0-16, the Bears have never been that embarrassing

Eh, even if the Lions lucked into a SB, as far as propping up fandoms with 1 team the 85 Bears is so much greater than anything the Lions could pull off. Though they'd have recency in their favor (for all the millenials like me not even alive for 85).

You were one off on DET by the way 14. Although that particular metric doesn't show how poorly Detroit has managed at being anything above mildly above average, as once you get to 10 wins they drop off a cliff where the Bears managed to actually be legitimately good and not 9-7 good many times. Also the flip side where you look up 11+ loss seasons show how good/bad Detroit is at pounding the bottom end of that spectrum including 0-16 and a couple 2 win campaigns.

Or just look up the cumulative W-L. 0.484 verse 0.420.

God I can't believe I spent all that time to prove "At Least We're Not Detroit"! "

It's a frustrating franchise to be a fan, no doubt. I don't think anyone would argue that it's been pretty bleak, but it's also one of the greatest franchises given their history. Only the Giants have been in more championship games. Only the Packers have won more championship games. The Bears have the most Hall of Fame members. They have had some of the greatest Linebackers of all time. They have arguably one of the greatest RB's of all time, and they probably have the best two pack of RB's in history from one team in Payton and Sayers.

We deserve to be made fun of when considering the QB talent this team has employed. Google the top ranked QB's in Chicago Bears history if you want to see a really sorry looking list. And it's not looking very promising going forward. We hire an Andy Reid disciple who is supposed to instill an offense that puts points on the board, and instead we have one of the worst offenses in the entire league. We have tall receivers. We have fast receivers. We have receivers that can get separation. We have receivers that can catch the ball in traffic. And we have a QB that was taken 2nd overall who cannot connect with these receivers consistently.

You are welcome to act like a Cardinals troll visting a Cubs fan site to make fun of our continued fandom, but the Bears are definitely not the Detroit Lions or the Cleveland Browns. It's not even close.

OK, Boomer.

Maybe the problem is Soldier Field. I mean, besides the obvious ways that Solider Field is a myriad of problems...maybe it's some kind of cursed earth situation. MOVE BACK TO WRIGLEY.

That's fine, but what's the point of counting 60s and 70s stuff either?

True, but you’re clearly confused by them

Also yea, lets move the Bears back to Wrigley. That makes sense, but only to the pre-super bowl crowd. How old are you?

Definitely something wrong with Soldier Field, but its not cursed.

What a dumb and waste of a renovation. And now the cool spots in the city they could have taken OVER 30 years ago are developed.

CAN WE JUST GET THE ROSEMONT/BRIDGEVIEW/SCHAUMBURG/ARLINGTON HEIGHTS/WHEREVER BEARS AT PNC BANK STADIUM ALREADY?

I know I'm alone on this but I like Soldier Field. The opposite of Soldier Field is MetLife, which is just a disastrous horrible stadium in every way shape or form. Soldier Field has unique location, a non-cookie cutter feel, and it's not in the middle nowhere. It's so much better than holding taxpayers hostage for a $2b convention center.

As most people do, I think it's an eyesore from the outside, but I think it looks great from the inside. I don't care that it has a small capacity nor do I care that that leaves Chicago out of the conversation for a Super Bowl. That said, I wouldn't hate it if we had a building with a retractable roof, and I might be slightly more likely to go to games if it were. Then again, I also kind of like the fact that dome/warm weather teams seem to horsefeathers themselves when they come visit in December/January.

I absolutely hate getting to and from it, but football is better on TV anyway.

A suburban stadium sitting in 10 square miles of parking lot next to a highway and a corn field sounds like the worst idea ever

Soldier Field is wonderful except for the horsefeathering sod. If the parks dept would just give up and install field turf, no one would be complaining

Also I'm obviously okay without 2B tax payer subsidized stadiums, but the soldier field reno also used 400M+ of public subsidies so its not as if they're ahead on that count.

The Bears deserve to have an outlet mall and an airport as their neighbors as opposed to squatting on the primo real estate they're infesting right now. QUIT horsefeathering UP THE MUSEUM CAMPUS, YOU DICKS.
