There is zero reason Trubisky should be on a football field.

The good news: the running game looks better

The bad news: running games don’t matter

I'm trying to convince myself it's just because the camp was so short.

I don't think Mitch is doing poorly out there. The problem is he's not really doing well either. Jimmy Graham keeps mistiming jumps. Some of these throws though are wild.

i'd love the stats on how often the Bears get a stop under 2 minutes and then botch doing anything on offense afterwords letting the other team score right before the half

he's missing to the safe side on his throws, but his wr's and te's arent helping one bit. Miller looks like a lost cause. Mooney looks ok

I don’t think Trubisky has been Henry Burris levels of bad. He just looks like a bottom-third starter in the NFL. The rest of the offense is also bad. I’m pretty sure Robinson is the only above-average player anywhere in that side on the ball.

You’ve got a bad Lions defense that was already banged up and got a guy ejected. The entire Bears offense is healthy. This is the best it’s going to look all year and we have 6 points at the half.

This is about how Mitch looked against real defenses last year, except this isn't a real defense.

Nick Foles for QB.

13th time in last 18 games (playoff game included) where the Bears don't score a 1st half TD on offense. 5-0 when they do. 3-9 otherwise

Can't wait to see how good this team will be once Mack gets hurt.

I was a little worried this defense might have one last stretch in them but thankfully they got old even faster than I expected

No offense leading to a tired and exposed defense.

The first week or three have a lot of weird things happen every season; I'd expect that to be especially true this year with the abbreviated pre-season.

If the defense is truly this mediocre though, we're looking at a top 5 pick.

So do both Nagy and Pace get fired this off season? Or just Pace with Nagy getting a pass because he was stuck with a flaming bag of dog S#$@ for a QB?

A bad offense will make a good defense look mediocre and so on and so on.

I can't wait for rust to be the excuse.

TOP is basically even right now, and the Bears gave up TDs on both sides of halftime (when they're plenty well rested). The offense sucks, but the defense can't blame them today.
