Nagy complaining on the details when he hasn't improved as a coach one bit since he got to Chicago

This feels like another game where the Bears are trying to prevent a game tying TD on the final drive
Technically correct although that drive lasted 1 play lol.
5th time in 6 games the opponent had the ball with under 2 mins left driving to tie or win. Bears are now 5-0 in those games. If you can’t be good, be lucky.
Bears need to go 4-6 the rest of the season to make the playoffs most likely. That’s good because the schedule gets much much tougher after this and I haven’t felt great about any game the Bears have played yet lol

Bears now 5-0 in the NFC and have H2H wins over the Bucs and Panthers, 2 teams they may be competing with for a wild card spot. Really good position at this point.

Still ugly, still 5-0 in the NFC, could clinch the NFC South in 2 weeks with a win vs the Saints.
Tough 4 game stretch coming up here, but then again it was a tough 7 game stretch 3 weeks ago and they're 2-1 so far.

Re: Week 6: Bears at Panthers, Sunday at noon on Fox
5-1 is better than anyone could have hoped for. It's been ugly and I STILL don't know if this team is any good. I guess at this point, winning 5 close games is the sign of the team being "good". Maybe not good enough, but I understand the "details" thing. This team is probably a few plays, a few calls/missed calls, a few inches away from being a really good team. I'd really like to see them put it all together and become really good, but they haven't been able to do that in my adult life yet. Maybe this is the year they get the details right. Gets tougher for a while now.

A Tampa win from being the #2 seed, and a 1/2 game out of home field advantage.

Do you mean the pass on 3rd down? I’ll have to go back but I think that throw to Robinson was good enough to be caught. I don’t want to be that team who can’t do anything but run three times to burn the other team’s TO’s. They’ve got to complete the passes but I like the pass call.

I think the playcalling is fine 85-90% of the time. Short yardage is still an issue. Getting in his own way and slowing down his offense is also an issue. That 2nd down call in the redzone is one of those "fun" plays he used to run in 2018 and something I'd like to see come back, but that call was not made in the flow of the game. There was nothing about any of the previous plays that showed that play would fool the Carolina defense.

I think they at least have to have a run threat and throw if they get a certain look. That play was a pure pass play from the formation. That's when you go with the 3 TE set you love so much and throw out of that against a D that's likely selling out against the run.

Yea a little PA mini boot where the QB can at least slide down if the 1 read isn't there.

I was in favor of the pass last week against TB that everyone torched and did not at all like the pass today. The difference is the lead. In last weeks game they were down 2 at that point and playing conservative would have led to a 1 point lead (which is what happened anyways). Getting that 1st gets you closer to FG range and let’s you run off considerably more time. Also I think it was 3rd and longish do you probably aren’t getting a 1st running.
In this game the Bears had a 7 point lead so the worst the Panthers can do is get the ball back and tie it. Giving them 1 less timeout to go the length of the field makes more sense to me. Plus it was 3rd and 2 at around midfield and they just managed to get 8 yards on the previous 2 plays in an obvious running situation. I think it makes a ton more sense to run there regardless of whether they convert or not

Re: Week 6: Bears at Panthers, Sunday at noon on Fox
How good are the Bears, really, compared to the rest of the NFL? I wouldn't take them heads up against the Seahawks, Packers or Rams in the NFC, or the Chiefs, Ravens, Steelers or Titans in the AFC, but I think they're currently in the same league as the next tier of team, playoff contender that would be a surpise in the Super Bowl, like the Bills, Bucs or Saints.

There are 9 teams that have won 1 or fewer games this year. As of right now, there are also 9 teams that have lost 1 or fewer games.
The only team in the NFL to beat multiple teams that are .500 or better?
The Chicago Bears.

They aren't. The teams they've played so far were a combined 12-18 coming into today. Rams, Saints, Titans, Packers are four of their next five games. That should show us who they are one way or the other
