NFL perpetual 2020 regular and postseason non Bears thread
If someone has a better idea, by all means...
Taysom Hill still sucks as a full time starter, but Kamara and that defense are ridiculous. Kamara has some of the best balance and vision as a RB that I can remember.

Up with mega threads.
This is mostly born from the fact that I’m pretty sure this is week 12 but the Beats thread says week 13. Plus, the weekly NFL thread has maybe 9 posts.

Before the Falcons TD that just happened, Saints defense had a run of 42 drives without giving up a TD. 14 quarters. Granted, 4 of those quarters were against a team without a QB. Still, an impressive stat.

Nope. I'm right. You're wrong. Week 13. Every team is playing their 12th game this week + 1 bye week.

OTOH Trevor Lawrence is in the bag even if they win a game. Huge day for the franchise, worst to first is well under way. The very near Future of the Jets is 3 above average Adam Gase QBs starting for playoff teams in the league with the best one, Lawrence, on the roster under a rookie deal

So after the historic sucking of the NFC East all year, the Giants beat Seattle in Seattle and the generic football team beats Pitt?
How weird.

They’ve both been a lot better lately.

I didn’t realize the talent Washington has. They’re not that far away from respectability.

Josh Allen turning out to be good is the most interesting thing about the NFL since the Waldo and Lewin formulas. Diggs is underrated for a guy who garnered a first round pick via trade in the NFL

2nd and 3rd longest current winning streaks in the league after the Saints.

In the NFC. Chiefs are 2nd with 7 and Cleveland is tied with the Giants for 3rd at 4.

Drew still has pain and does not have a full range of motion in his shoulder. I don’t think he’s starting next week vs KC, either.
The narrative with Saints media is that Taysom is progressing and might still be the QB of the future, but I’m not seeing it at all. Hopefully he has to run a two minute drill today.

I know it’s only his 3rd career start or whatever, but he is missing some wide ass open receivers. He doesn’t seem to go through his progressions fast enough and ends up getting sacked. Dude has seemingly been sacked more times in the past few games than Drew had been all season. I’m really upset to not see Winston with this offense. He’s a doofus but he’s got a metric ton of arm talent.
All that said, that Eagles loss was on the defense inexplicably forgetting how to contain the run. Just brutal. Saints are usually do for one of those games a year. Hopefully that was it.

That Browns Ravens game was entertaining as hell, but I was pulling for the Brownies to pull it out. They're a fun team.

Boy, as a Bears fan doesn't that read familiar, but, given, he's not Mitch Trubisky, he might improve on those fronts. So, there's that for Saints fans.

Not only was Taysom missing wide open receivers, play after play, week after week, he will have guys wide open down the field but tries to squeeze in passes to Mike Thomas, often 5 yards short of the 1st down. He's flat out not seeing the field, and it's not like he's Garrett Grayson or some 21 year old rookie. He's 30 and has been studying behind Drew for years. It's just not going to happen with him.
You're right on the second point, but I'd also add the the interior Saints O-line wasn't blocking anyone Sunday.
