He's filling in for Francesa who is retiring, and it has been rumored he is in line for the job. That explains his BS answer about lounging on the beach last week. Not a care in the world about the state he nominally runs.

Ah, they mentioned Francesa on the radio and then mockingly played the Mike and Mad Dog theme song so i assumed that was still a thing.

He's an embarrassment as a sitting governor. What's his approval rating? 15%?

When you don't care about your state or winning an election, you have all kinds of room for activities!

Yeah, Christie shamelessly shifted into don't give a horsefeathers as soon as he was re-elected in 2013. As soon as that whole forced traffic jam scandal hit, his popularity plummeted in the toilet. That he even thought about running for president took a gigantic pair of balls (nestled between his enormous, meaty thighs).

Also, he's apparently an actual, serious candidate to replace Francesa

Let's not suddenly act like there's any standards in sports talk.

That clip would almost certainly help his chances at securing the gig given sports radio audiences.

Deadspin may not be what it used to be, but they are still very good at that aspect.

Not sure how I completely missed Mike and Mike splitting up (or announcing it, anyways).

It has been the lukewarm button issue of milquetoast sports media for several months.

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.
