I think it's best to ignore any and all "well actually Team A offered him $XXX over Y years contracts but he turned it down" reports in the media.

Most of the time it's just a way for management to convince fans they were trying.

I think that’s where I lean, either it’s the team showing publicly they made an effort (whether or not it’s true who knows) or it’s Boras trying to stir horsefeathers up.

Since there's nothing better to post, we can at least entertain ourselves with what the cat is up to.

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

In a slow offseason, potentially bad rumors from Charles are the cat's meow!

The Dodgers have signed outfielder Paulo Orlando to a minor league deal, MetsMerized’s Michael Mayer reports (Twitter link). Orlando will receive an invitation to the Dodgers’ big league Spring Training camp, the Southern California News Group’s J.P. Hoornstra adds (via Twitter).

Dodgers clearly moved on to backup plans because Bryce isn't going there.

For the love of Jeebus, Theo, please sign Harper so I can stop hearing about the GD Bears game.

Theo is so sneaky that the Cubs aren't even being mentioned among the 5-6 teams that are in on Harper.

I'd put money on the Cubs right now even if I am not overly confident, I do think they are being undervalued here.

Most especially with the Nats signing Dozier today. That line is crazy.
