Ah forgot about that. Rodney probably isn't the best bet to keep the closer's job all year, but it does make Reed's decision a bit more interesting.

Adjust our win total by at least 3 wins with this greaseball off that team.

Could StL be loading up on cost controlled pitching to flip to the Marlins for Yelich?

Unless Pham is part of that deal, I doubt it. Their OF is probably set.

They think Pham is the second coming of Jesus. Ozuna/Pham/Dexter is their OF

The Blue Jays are not good at this.

I love that they've traded Piscotty and Gruichuk, both winners of the BFIB's coveted "Would you rather have this guy instead of Kris Bryant" award

Dexter’s arm in CF was weak and can only be worse in RF.

I feel like MLB needs to consider moving the arbitration deadlines and hearings to earlier in the off-season in the next CBA. I think a lot of the hang up with this off-season has been teams waiting to see where they stand after arbitration numbers are determined,

Based on what? If there are public projection systems that get within +/- 10% for most of the eligible player pool I doubt the clubs are that in the dark.

We are going to take so many extra bases on his arm out there. It’s crazy he’s going to RF

Brent is getting beat up on twitter for suggesting that the players might be holding out because they’re afraid of the big bad union.

With his arm (and really not great range) it wouldn’t surprise me if he ranks as one of the worst defensive RF’s amongst those who qualify this year

Villar and a bunch of prospects for Castro and Yellich? They have the minor league talent to pull that off?

I could see that, something like Villar, Santana and prospects for those 2. Or else maybe a Fulmer or Archer trade

Have seen it could be Ellsbury, essentially buying a prospect by taking his salary. That wouldn’t strike me as “big” but would potentially bring the Yankees back in to the Darvish sweepstakes

Brewers also apparently have made a formal offer to Darvish.

Not saying it will happen, but the Cubs coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series does seem like the appropriate way to cap off this season and make the 30-for-30 even better.

Just so long as they don't trade for Archer and then sign Yu, it's all good.

Funny thing is, even if they made both those moves and lost nothing from their roster, they'd still project more than ten games behind the Cubs by Steamer.
