Wait until Chatwood ends up being better than all of them.

Lester re-enacting WS Game 7 for an entire postseason seems....good

That’s the best part. There are some who are saying six years is too long, which I agree with. Oh, except when you realize he got the total money he was supposed to get for five.

Just think of the 6th year as a $1m team option with a $1m buy out.

This is perfect. It's a good deal, but not so good that I feel guilty. Depending on how the incentives are structured this is pretty comparable to the Johnny Cueto deal, but swap an opt out for some cash incentives. Yu's better than Cueto was, but Cueto was younger and never had TJ.

Also, Yu is one of the half dozen coolest players in the league, regardless of talent. This is going to be so fun.

I just......what did people think he was signing for, $15 per??? I thought he was getting $25 to $28 when the offseason started.

Not saying it will happen, but the Cubs coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series does seem like the appropriate way to cap off this season and make the 30-for-30 even better.

Drove it right up to......below projected AAV? Well done, Stearns

Also, love that the person making that statement is a Global Moderator.

They're too stupid to realize the back end of the deal happens on the next CBA, where the LT is going to be close to 300.

Additional rule: you have to have one or the other. The only exception is you have an amazing board name. davell, I'm looking at you; put up a [expletive] avatar or something if your name only sounds like somebody tried say Dave as they lapsed into a coma.

I trust Theo Took the time to research that he was tipping and it’s fixable. I too am gonna miss Jake, Yu is better and I take him over Jake ever time but hope Jake goes to a non-Brewer team like the Twins or Angels or whatever so I don’t need to root against him.

Give me Junior Guerra everyday of the week and twice on Sundays over paying a top 20 pitcher well below value.

Before the Cubs acquired Quintana on July 13th, they're rotation was comprised of:

Arrieta
Lester
Hendricks
Lackey
E. Butler

Now it's made up of:

Darvish
Quintana
Hendricks
Lester
Chatwood

I'd say they've improved themselves...

If Yu wasn’t tipping then we should somehow be worried about our offense, because he dominated it.

This was all part of Stearns's master plan to keep Cub fans out of the Ed Sheeran concert.

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

And this still leaves us room to add something at the trade deadline, correct?
