Dusty goes back to the Giants

The San Francisco Giants are getting the band back together.

The Giants are expected to announce the hiring of former manager Dusty Baker to be a special advisor to Giants CEO Larry Baer where he will also report to executive vice president Brian Sabean. He is scheduled to be introduced today at the Giants’ Play Ball Luncheon.

The Giants reached out to Baker in February and began talks on a role in the organization where he will spend the bulk of his time watching the Giants and evaluating minor-league players.

The propensity for what I'll call alternative thread titles here had me thinking Dusty had bit the dust. I avoided the thread until I couldn't.

What kind of insane belief system does Tom have that he thinks "goes back to the Giants" might mean that someone has died?

Genesis, 3:19
By the sweat of thy brow shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for a giant thou art, and unto the giants shalt thou return.

Yeah, Dusty is going to San Fransisco, not St. Louis.
