I'm starting to think we just don't have the pieces (that we are willing to give up) to make an impact move this year

Nah, there’s still like 15 relief pitchers out there and plenty of SP of Happish value. Brandon horsefeathering Drury is the main piece going for Happ. I think we’re just letting things play out since there’s not a huge gap between a lot of these guys value wise and/or Theo’s cooking up something big.

The KB injury could have us re-evaluating things as well in terms of targets.

It's Drury and McKinney and potentially more going to Toronto.

To be fair, we don't KNOW that J.A. Happ ISN'T a serial killer

I'm somewhat stunned that JA Happ only got Drury/McKinney. McKinney is squat ... a useful AAA OF, emergency option, I guess, unless he turns it around.

Seems like the Blue Jays just fell in love with the idea of Drury. Nice player, but if you are rebuilding a bit, would seem to make more sense to go after some bigger upside, even if it's further away.
