From the payroll thread

Kyle Hendricks, per Fangraphs, has been worth $120m in his career (and that's not even including throwing the best start in Cubs postseason history and starting the greatest game in Cubs history). He has been paid less than $13.5m thus far.

Further evidence that we need to end this system of underpaying players for their peak years, then overpaying them in their declining years (to compensate for their peak years)

Everyone should get a base $3.5mil and then bonuses that can get them up to the 20+mil based on how they play. Or something.

Bryant meanwhile is projected at 12.4 but after this probably fairly ought to demand 15.

so he's going to miss a chunk of change due to suspension and they are giving him bonus opportunities to make all that back?

By my count, the absolute maximum number of days Russell can spend on the roster is about 153. At least with the Cubs schedule, other teams might be a day or two different.

I think he was actually projected to get $4.3 million in arb -- sorry if I'm wrong and spreading bad info -- so hopefully he's getting screwed a bit no matter what.

Here’s everyone in 1 tweet. All arb guys have signed. Depending on who you use for projections it appears we saved some money (but obviously we don’t know what they calculated internally).
