Taylor Davis sounds like a country singer that can't decide if she wants to be a cross over artist.

Why can't these cheap horsefeathers even get a real backup catcher.

It would be great if we could win a game without someone getting hurt.

Davis should be fine for a handful of games but we really need more depth. Anything resembling an acceptable backup catcher left on the market?

Amazing that Taylor Davis has stuck around pretty much because he had that stare at the camera shtick

I was waiting for him to retire and become Iowa's manager or something. It shocked me to learn he is somehow just 29.

Is Taylor Davis the one that stays out too late and goes on too many dates?

Not certain how it works in baseball as opposed to football. But without making a trade, where can the Cubs get a catcher from other than their own minor league system? Independent leagues? Do players/veterans with a certain amount of service time have the option to sign with another team’s 40 man roster if they aren’t on their current team’s 40 man?

Just wondering who might even be available without having to make a trade.

Sandy Leon is at Boston's AAA team. I am sure the Cubs are interested in him.

Some of the vets that signed minor league deals this winter probably have opt outs coming up soon. A trade won't be hard though. For example the Mets and Giants both have multiple veteran guys behind very good starters. We could probably nab one for a song. It probably just depends on if Caratini is going to miss the 3-4 weeks that was initially mentioned or more like 6+.

I wonder what Koyie Hill is doing these days.
