In before Derwood googles "we did it gif" and posts the first one he sees.

Tepera seems like a pretty smart get. He was a solid reliever for his MLB career until the start of this year, missed time for bone spurs that were clearly bugging him, came back and was solid again to close out the season. He's optionable like Winkler too, and if he works out well he'll be arb eligible for 2021.

It's not sexy but it's a smart low-risk move. He was pretty solid for a few years.

Why? This is an actual decent signing

He throws a 95 MPH sinker, plus has a minor league option. I like how we are approaching these last 1-2 pen adds.

The approach to the bullpen this offseason is exactly what I hoped for whether they signed Cole or not, so there's that. I'm mostly positive about this signing - seems like he has similar upside to Brach or Kintzler did before 2019 with a much more team and cap friendly deal that won't get in the way of any other moves. I'd imagine that remaining MiL option was really valuable to the FO, even just to have it

I'm also interested in the fact that this brings the 40 man roster up to 39. I feel like that implies some sort of clarity as to what the upcoming trades are going to look like.
