His fastball seems straight and offspeeds flat, but it would be nice if he made the Braves look bad and lose

Recent pictures of him are pretty shocking at how thin and weathered he has become. I think there's something very bad happening with him outside of baseball.

I'd be very surprised if he wasn't getting into meth. He has that face. I hope he gets help.

He averaged 91 in that start, was 94.9 last year and 96.8 the year prior. His slider was down almost 6 mph from last year.

Not saying it won't recover but there's plenty of reason for pessimism and not much time to iron out the kinks this year.

Is it fair to say this guy has been an average or below average pitcher each season of his career except for one good year? If it's not, I'll easily take the statement back.

Not saying it will happen, but the Cubs coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series does seem like the appropriate way to cap off this season and make the 30-for-30 even better.

He cleared waivers.

Something isn't adding up.

Yeah not a great starter but I could see his (previous stuff) playing up as a reliever splendidly. He wouldve hit triple digits out of the pen regularly.

The big if is if that stuff will ever be back and why he looks 20 to 30 pounds lighter in a frail way.

I saw someone asked on Braves subreddit about how he looked in Spring Training volume 1 in March & nobody seemed to remember (granted that does seem like 10 years ago).
