Because the Star Wars and Trainspotting star isn’t just playing one part in the series. He’s been cast as two brothers, Emmit and Ray Stussy, who are at the center of the story (and no, they’re not twins).
Here’s the official description of his characters, which marks the first details of any kind about the show’s mysterious third edition: “Emmit Stussy is the Parking Lot King of Minnesota. A handsome, self-made, real estate mogul and family man, Emmit sees himself as an American success story. His slightly younger brother, Ray Stussy, on the other hand is more of a cautionary tale. Balding, pot-bellied, Ray is the kind of guy who peaked in high school. Now a parole officer, Ray has a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he’s been dealt, and he blames his brother, Emmit, for his misfortunes.”
Previously, Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley said the new season would be set in 2010, a few years after the events in season 1. The writer-producer also hinted that one other character from a previous season might return, though nobody else has yet been cast. Fargo season 3 will begin production later this year and will air sometime in 2017.

Someone here turned me on to this show, but I can't remember who. I binge watched the horsefeathers out of the first two seasons and will be forever grateful.

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

He confirmed that Fargo won’t be back until spring 2017, due to the show’s winter setting. Shooting is set to begin in November 2016.

No release date, but shooting for season 3 is only just starting this month, so it's projected that it'll start airing in March or April.

Re: Fargo Season 3
When I heard the base bones about a Fargo TV show remake I thought it was the stupidest idea I'd ever heard. I normally have a good radar for this kind of stuff, but I was unbelievably mistaken. I had gotten so into Westworld that I'd forgotten Fargo existed. So sick...so Season 3 will air at about the same time as Game of Thrones?! Sick.

As an outsider looking in, based on the sheer amount of GoT talk on pop culture websites and whatnot, I honestly have no clue if the show is running a new season right now or not. I'm always surprised when people say it's not running.

I can see that about walking dead since they actually have 2 shows running under the banner accounting for 30+ episodes a season. GoT only airs 10 times a year (no longer) and is taking a long break between seasons.

It's probably how non-Star Wars fans feel about SW. Like, it must seem like a movie is coming out every damn week with the way people won't shut the horsefeathers up about it.

I don't watch either show and I'd agree with this assessment.
