Very Rizzo-like. Looks a lot smoother and less moving parts, but who knows if it works. Things probably can't get worse so I'm on board. Edited by The_Achiever

it's sooooo much better. He's balanced. His swing is more compact. He has his ass under his upper body. His weight transfer looks much better. He's not wrapping his upper arm. It looks good.

now imagine what it will look like when he's not facing 75 mph fastballs down the pipe

Any news on how our reclamation project is coming along?

He's a solid bet to be a Best Shape of His Life guy this spring training, already has Changed His Mechanics.

Conditioning was never an issue so my guess is he's primed for a "as healthy as I've ever felt" situation and refocused/reenergized/rededicated. But he could fit a lot of these storylines next month.

I just want to add good heyward and healthy Schwarber to last year's team and go go go. Is that too much to ask for?

this guy who ian happ follows appears to not be a fan...not sure who he is but based on his twitter, seems to at least believe he's a swing expert

I'm no expert, but that does look horrific.

he's just doing drills, so as complete laymen, we REALLY have no idea what looks good or bad

at least that guy would be familiar with some of that stuff if he's taken at his word

you know that hitting a baseball is a horsefeathering tough task when someone as athletic as heyward looks like that while swinging at balls that aren't even moving.

There seems to be no real consistency in that video with his swing/set up/hands/arms/etc, they are just drills, so it could be they are trying to get him to barrel the ball/get a correct launch angle off the tee/contact without really worrying about mechanics. With that being said I'm no expert and if he's still awful come May I'm in favor of him just going with the Happy Gilmore swing the rest of the year.

just a reminder that heyward looked goofy as hell at the plate even when he was launching 27 bombs in 2012

2010 too

so maybe he's just awkward looking as hell no matter what
