Do you have someone in mind? It's really disappointing to me that Warren seems to have become a non-factor as she seems by far the most prepared to do the job. I'd love to get her onto the ticket at least at the VP. From there, my top preference is just whoever gets the most democratic voters out, but in an ideal world, it'd be someone whose policies line up pretty closely to Bernie, and if he keeps leading the polls I don't see why it shouldn't him.

(This is assuming that, like me, want nothing to do with Biden, for all the reasons listed above, plus all the other creepy stuff.)

IMO, VP is such a neutered position that I wouldn't want Warren to get stuck there. I actually think that's the right spot for one of the younger candidates who doesn't get the nod, to ideally set them up to be able to run with a bigger profile.

It doesn't have to be a neutered position. It all depends on how much of a role policy wise the Prez would allow them

That's fair, and forward thinking. I just really like her expertise and positions, and would like them put in a position of power.

I agree; I just don't think VP is a position of much power at all. I'd much rather have her in a cabinet spot.

AKA it can be a powerful position if the VP has the ear of an easily lead around president. Why anyone would rather have her as VP as opposed to Sec. of Treasury, Labor or Commerce?

Pete Buttigieg is trying the same thing. Look at the number of boxes he checks. He’s from the Rust Belt so he’s authentic, but he went to Harvard so he’s not a rube, but he’s from a small city so he’s relatable, but he’s gay so he’s got coastal appeal, but he’s a veteran so his sexuality won’t alienate rural people. This is literally the level of political thinking that is involved in the hype around Buttigieg.

Mayors can’t solve all problems. What’s disturbing about Buttigieg is that he doesn’t even seem very interested in the problems at all. Someone should ask him: Why does his book spend less time talking about poverty than about the time he played Rhapsody in Blue on the piano with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra?

Dude swerves too hard to the "I'm a soldier...for God"-type of rhetoric for my liking.

To your first point, that's how I would see a Mayor Pete/Warren ticket playing out.

It is not really possible anymore to say where Jones’s universe ends and mainstream conservatism begins.

As was I, which is why it's a moot point involving someone like Warren.

Not really sure why you think she's become a non-factor. She's as much of a factor as any non-Biden/non-Sanders candidate is.

Dude, I'm saying it's pointless to bring up a Bush/Cheney-type of situation when the discussion is centered around whether or not the traditionally not-powerful role of VP is the best place for someone like Elizabeth freakin' Warren. It should be painfully obvious that that example is not applicable here at all.

Someone actually made time to make this. It's not a retweet, it's from his own account.
