I had seen the Bran thing beforehand and was hoping it was a false ending filmed to throw off spoilers, but in execution I was fine with it. I was thinking/hoping it would end with 7 independent kingdoms before the season started, it's not really that different.

On what? The first half was good, the second half was unimaginably bad. Like worse than my worst fears.

/r/freefolk spoiled this months ago (and just about the entirety of season 8).

the episode itself was fine. Peter Dinklage was the MVP, he carried most of it on his own.

I was holding out judgement until it completely ended. Sure, everything the last two seasons was extremely rushed, but I was willing to over look that with a decent ending.

...that did not happen. It was lame. I'm looking forward to the books.

The episode was fine for 30 minutes. The back half+ was some of the worst things I’ve ever seen. So bad.
Just brutally boring and bad and lame and pathetic.

I will be really interested about GRRM's part in how this season went. Did he rubber stamp the ending? Does this change how he moves forward with the books?

In that case I’m genuinely asking you to explain why you hated the second half. I respect your GOT takes so I’d like to hear it.

I don’t give a horsefeathers what you think about the dumb show, I’m just perturbed that you violated one of the few No-Mojo Safe Spaces on this board. The other being any college football thread. GTFO!!
