Andy Weber just walked with the bases loaded on a 3-2 count with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game at 2-2.

Nelson Velazquez is now up, trying to walk off the NWL Championship.

Never mind. Eugene wins the championship on a walk-off balk. Classic short-season minor league baseball.

Eugene went 31-45 in the regular season, had the worst record in the NWL, never won more than 2 games in a row during the regular season...and then swept the playoffs 5-0.

I'm sure Len will talk about it tomorrow. He's been loving the weirdness of it all.

Gd Velazquez has some big ass hands. What an interesting frame, physical already but still projectable, wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if McLeod’s 6’2” 210 prediction ends up on the money

That is a hilarious way to end a series. It was obviously a balk too.
