METAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton had quite the display waiting for his players this week when they started preparing for Sunday's NFC divisional playoff opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Payton brought three armed guards, a stack of more than $200,000 in cash, the Vince Lombardi Trophy and a Super Bowl ring into the team meeting room Monday to give his players added motivation.

The cash represents how much money they stand to make in playoff bonuses if they go all the way

I could see this Rams/Cowboys game being worth a look. Roger Saffold should sign with the Jets, that guy is good at LGing.

What goes around comes around, heart breaking fashion way to lose Eagles. I've the feeling Philadelphia caught lightning in a bottle with Foles as a result, some team is going to give him an outrageous sum of money. Only to be gravely disappointed.

I was at the Kansas City game. I always thought it would be cool to see a snow game in person. I have decided that I never want to see another one.

Isn’t it being speculated that the Eagles will pay Foles and trade Wentz?

we're going to end up with that Chiefs/Rams rematch and they're going to end up playing a little defense this time, aren't we?

Anyone else happy that it was Alshon's horsefeathers up that ended the Eagles season?

No, I’ve always liked him and felt bad. Glad they lost though.

God I hate to say it but yes. I don't even think Alshon was that villainous to us, but I can't help myself.

I'm still mad about last week, the Bears were the better team and putzed it all away.

Rooting for KC the rest of the way, anything to marginally bother STL people.....

Yes, but it's because I yearn for the Bears' innate stench of hilarious failure to follow everyone who has ever been a part of their organization.

The Ex-Bear Factor? Is that a thing?
