some awful defensive issues plagued both players. in fact, sds attempted to patch defense on multiple occasions this year and horsefeathers up tremendously.

I finally installed the new GOG Galaxy 2.0 client. It's really nice in that it easily merges all your games from other clients into a single list. So now I've got all my stuff from Steam, Battle.Net, Epic Games Store, Origin, Xbox, Playstation Network, Uplay, Humble Bundle, etc... in a single master list.

Now when I'm sitting around thinking I don't have anything I want to play, I know exactly how many games I'm ignoring. It's 343. Damn all those bundles of horsefeathers games...

Finally got around to starting up GTA:SA. Game developers have learned a lot since that game came out. The controls are completely counterintuitive (it's from the era that was the wild wild west of control schemes.....now most developers have an agree on set of controls). I'm going to die so many times because my muscle memory is going to have me use the wrong controls

About horsefeathering time, the Rory game was years ago and sucked and very limited.

I have become addicted to Stardew Valley. It’s just so damn pleasant. I just hit year 3 and am swimming in cash. Plenty of iridium and other high-end crafting stuff too. So I’m interested to see what the endgame looks like and if any of these money-sinks are worth it. If not, I’ll probably start over with a different farm type. I’m not a big fan of the mining and combat, so probably either the fishing or foraging maps. Or maybe I’ll just try the four corners map.

I put in over 100 hours into that game in a month. It's so good.

I liked it to start with but I got to a point where I got kind of bored. I need an end goal to work towards.

I'm sure the statistics say otherwise, but I thought San Andreas was a larger map than GTA5. When they brought it back to Los Santos, I was expecting to get the San Francisco and Las Vegas facsimiles as well, but no dice. I was kind of upset about that.

I've been playing it a bunch, too. If you set your MTU setting on the PS4 to 800, you'll automatically create a solo online lobby, so if you want to make some money selling cargo and stealing valuable cars and horsefeathers, that's the way to do it to duck the turds that will just nuke you from orbit (literally) for kicks.

Let me know if you want to meet up in the online version; it's always fun helping folks get started out.

If you PC game at all, Epic gives away free games each week...but right now they're giving away some really good stuff. GTA V was free last week. This week it's Civ VI.

Civ 6 is pretty good on its own. But the expansions add a lot of important mechanics. Golden/Dark Ages, City Loyalty, Governors, World Congress & Emergencies, Environmental Impacts, etc...

Then of course there's the new season pass for another year of DLC that started yesterday. I'm not thrilled about the apocalypse mechanic, but I'm hearing it's fun. I've just got too much climate change anxiety to want to subject myself to crazy forest fires and horsefeathers nonstop during my free time.

I finally finished Final Fantasy 7 Remake last night. It had some problems, but overall I really really liked it.

- Combat is SO GOOD. ATB needs to move a little faster when you're guarding/dodging, and the camera occasionally spazzes out, but it's really satisfying. I also loved how distinct each character played

- I liked how it was kind of weird and had a good sense of humor. So much of the expanded universe stuff after the original took itself incredibly seriously, this felt more like the original in terms of vibe. Like hell, you could argue that Wall Market is weirder in this than the original

- I don't have a problem with the filler added to the game, but it's horsefeathering wild that in 5 years they basically only got through like 20% of the story. The over/under on this whole thing being finished might legit be 2028

- The ending...

Spoiler: show
was pretty dumb, or at least clunky. I appreciated what they were going for thematically: that the rest is not going to be so tightly beholdent to the original game. But I feel like they could have accomplished that differently, like maybe end the game after Kalm and have a big change to the Nibelheim story? It was so horsefeathering weird going from the motorcycle chase to like 15 minutes later killing God. I guess they liked that it also let them shoehorn in a Sephiroth fight set to One Winged Angel (which to be fair I will never complain about)

But yeah, overall it was great, and I think I'm going to fire up the original so that I can replay the rest of the story in a more timely fashion.

Dipping back into Terraria since they made the final update to the game. Easy to lose yourself for a few hours.
