Let's just put troops across the entire border like I'm playing a game of Civilization II. Frum is an idiot.

Terribly unimportant in the light of the events, but I'm flipping between BBC's and CNN's coverage. CNN sucks.

Obviously something like this takes a while to coordinate, so that it happen just hours after the relatively good news of Sinjar being retaken by Kurdish fighters and the reported death of "Jihad John" makes something this horrible even worse.

It doesn't take a while to coordinate attacks like this. I'm afraid these style of attacks are going to be the Go-To for terrorists in the future. It only takes a few weeks of planning and you just have to find weapons, a crowded place, and individuals who don't their life or others.

Happened in Mumbai, Kenya, and now Paris all with frightening results.

It all sucks.

I'm assuming you missed a "mind taking" in there to make the last part make sense to which I'd say

Come on that's kind of a big qualifier to brush off like it's easy to coordinate this type of attack.

"A few weeks" IS "a while." My point is that it's almost certainly a coincidence that this happened tonight as opposed to being a response to specific actions against ISIS in the last day or two.

This takes a long time to coordinate. You need to get a dozen or two jahadists together in the same place, trained and armed. They need money etc. likely this was in the works for a long time.
