Re: Covympics

I found a good way to watch track! NBC has a replay of their broadcast online and you can skip to the events you want. Yeah, I watched a bunch of wrestling online, but the officiating and announcing was so bad that I regretted tuning in. They got these two Brits who had NO CLUE what was going on, a...

I have heard really differing opinions about the show. An actor friend watched it and specifically wondered what I would think about it, and demanded I watch it. ...I still haven't watched it.

Re: Movie Thread 2: The Sequel

Finally went to see a movie in a theater for the first time since, like, February of last year. Broke things open with The Green Knight ; thought it was gorgeous. Really affecting mood piece of a film. How did you interpret the ending? Girlfriend and I have differences in opinion; she think he dies...

Re: Javy traded to Mets, won't learn any of their names

Yeah, feel free to get nostalgic about the World Series team and the coolness of some of the players you like, but also try not to forget this team has horsefeathering blown for a while with all of these guys as the core parts. It's fine by me for anyone to feel this way, but the way I look at it, ...

At least Javy went out taunting Garrett...but really, he did so many awesome things, it was inevitable he was going to exit while having recently been a badass. Very pleased with my choice to not have watched a single Cub game on tv this year. Extremely displeased that I already bought tickets for n...

In an incident that happened about 15 minutes from where I live, a college kid got drunk. Then in his drunken state confused his mom for a burglar whom he then proceeded to beat to death with a bat. He just accepted a plea deal where he will serve no jail time and instead will be put on probation. ...

So the Mrs and I were watching the synchronized board diving, and one of the Brits left his toes slightly off the edge of the board, and the announcer lady seemed nearly angry about it. It sounded like my Mom bitching about her neighbors, and we absolutely loved it. We were doing impressions of it, ...

That map is pretty facsinating. What exactly is going on with that blue line that goes from northern Texas-eastern Colorado-western Kansas-Nebraska, when compared to Arkansas and Missouri. Is it just too rural to spread as effectively? There ain't no humans there https://media.giphy.com/media/VFYJX...
