We Got The Whole 9 wrote:So now we have a mouse coming into our lanai at night and leaving little droppings all over, including on the stroller seat. So I set traps last night. Now when we were in Cali, one got into our house and I used peanut butter as the bait and it worked fine. This mouse, however, just licked all 4 traps clean and left droppings all over. Im reading online and people are suggesting to use a hot glue gun and cereal; some are suggesting to tie yarn around the bait so that it will have to use force to extract it and that will trigger the trap.
You guys have any success stories to share?
I had mice set up camp in my garage and grill over the winter. Tried the traditional traps with PB and had the same thing happen. They seem to have set up shop elsewhere though as I haven't noticed new droppings, but I never caught one. At my old house a couple years ago I caught them just fine using the old school traps.
