It is unfortunate that this is where we are as a society, but we aren't changing any minds.

no thanks.

it's like how trump voters were like "if you don't stop calling us stupid, we're going to vote for trump again." horsefeathers you, you're going to vote for trump again anyway, and shaming unvaccinated people isn't going to make them be double unvaccinated or whatever.

And what would that accomplish?

Selfish people who make bad decisions for society deserve scorn from society. If the "it's a personal choice" people truly want that freedom they have to live with the knowledge that more informed people will be unhappy with them.

Is there a possibility it has something to do with being a cancer survivor? It could weaken his immune system or something? Otherwise that horsefeathering sucks and is disappointing as hell.

No. If anything, it’s even more of a reason to get vaccinated.

Weird because this is a quote from him in a Trib article from yesterday;

Is it hard to be on the road without getting to enjoy the cities like they’re accustomed to?

“Yeah, it’s hard,” first baseman Anthony Rizzo said. “It’s hard that everyone else is open, as the country opens up, to have to be so secluded.

“But you kind of get used to it. You stick to your own little groups that you stick to. You hang in the hotel. You can go eat outside. It’s better than not doing anything.”

I sorta got the impression that he was vaccinated. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Guess not.

His quotes after the game made it seem like he read the room a little bit, for what little’s that worth. “Definitely not against getting it”.

Seriously. If he said that in January, it would be way more understandable. But if you don’t think it’s safe at this point, you never will.

King Javy
