I hope Tim has been able to buy a second boat with all the "Trump is on a roll" ads that he's selling on here

That's funny, because I don't see any of those.

Yeah, I don't know how many times the guy who insists on sharing Trump tweets seemingly can't figured out that these ads are tailored to each person. Somehow, SOMEHOW, I also never get these ads. Weird.

Oh I get them constantly. It's not the getting them that bothers me...it's that they're the only ones that I can't click the X to say I don't like those ads. None of which is Tim's fault.

I get BBQ and 80s costume related ads because of some recent searches, and quite frankly it's been helpful.

I always figured it was because of the politics thread. HuffPo and CNN are really the only other politically related things I go to on my work comp.

Look at the positive of Trump ads. Someones flushing money down the drain cuz it won't influence your opinion.

Trump Trump Trump Trump. MAGA MAGA MAGA. Snowflake. Deplorable. Build that wall.

If it's your work comp it's likely because you're sharing an IP with folks who actually are being targeted. That, or you're flagged as interested in politics, and the Trump people are content spraying ads at politically motivated people even knowing full well that they're wasting half of them.

Many display ads are based on the content on the page.

This board can’t go like 3 pages without mentioning Trump so that’s probably impacting it.

During a "Not For Women Only" panel discussion, former Cubs pitcher Mike Bielecki asked several players to invent a baseball catch phrase for Viagra. Theriot's ad campaign: "Viagra -- I always play hard."

I also get 1-800-Flowers and OfficeMax ads, but I don't post tweets from them

True. Especially with the new California privacy law I'd guess that's becoming even more of a thing than it already was.

Trying to figure out if there’s a site issue or if this just got blocked at work. Seems to be working mostly fine on my phone, though looks like a slow day, but when I try to go to the ‘Active Topics’ (most frequent starting point, so it autocompletes on chrome), I get redirected to ‘ww1.northsidebaseball.com’ which isn’t much of anything.

Anyone else having this issue or is this something on my/my company’s end?

I was having this issue at home...I thought the site was down. Was surprised to see it was working fine when I came in. I'm gonna mess around with my vpn when I get home and see if it works in some places and not others.

I’ve been having issues every time I’ve tried to come on today. been on, on my home WiFi (never an issue) or mobile data. More than half the time it seems like the domain expired on the page that loads.

There's people on twitter complaining that they can't get on the site so something is definitely broke. It was broke for me when I was connected on VPN but once I disconnected it worked. DNS seems screwed up somewhere.

Huh, this place still exists. I just assumed I got swept-up in a no-holds-barred Modzilla account banning sweep.

The domain registration lapsed. Turns out the company I registered with back in 2003 isn't in business as themselves any more.

It was a pain to get it squared away. Should be good for five more years, though.

Thanks for taking care of this, Tim! I’m not a computer guy and had no clue what happened. For a while, thought the site was just down. But into day two, started thinking maybe I had some malware. Again, thanks! This is pretty much my only Cubs site other than the Cubs official site.

I believe so! Thanks

Also, for those (like me) that are getting the site from one device but not another, it takes a while for these changes to propagate through the nets.
