Postby big ball chunky time » Sun May 30, 2021 4:43 pm

I know a lot of us play this.

I'm working on unlocking the Prior card right now. I just bought the Headliners Maddux card too. Really wanna super refractor both of them. Im also trying to do the 85 Kerry Wood card too but his control is so bad it's rough lol

it only costs like 15k to get to prior using the exchanges. just buy a bunch of cheap silvers. I did that in the central and in the nl west to get gwynn

I've used him twice in ranked already and he got knocked around both times. there are just too many guys who throw 98+.

Bought 300x 74 ovr bronze cards per division last weekend in anticipation for the new content drop on Friday. The exchanges got me to 40% for each division in the TA2 programs. This is where I’m at now:

Not at all. I’m a “no money spent” guy outside of getting the preorder edition for early access. The Show is usually my main video game purchase every year so I play the absolute horsefeathers out it; finish all programs, collections, etc. I’ll shift my focus to backlogged games (normally old RPGs) after the World Series and throughout the winter.

I purchased the 74 ovr bronze cards at 25-35 stubs/piece. Only need 200 or so per division so I sold the rest on the market for a good 3-4x profit per card.

the experience of picking a card/player that you want, unlocking it, then leveling it up is probably the most fun experience ive ever had in a sports game

Played a guy today who had one of those cheesy CAP sidearm 101 mph pitchers that I couldn't hit. But he couldn't hit me either. Took a no-hitter into the 12th inning (!!!!) took the lead with a double off the right field wall, and then lost 2-1 after his horsefeathering catcher hit a walkoff with 2 outs in the bottom of the 12th. want to die

I struggle against All Star computer with my team full of 90+ as it is, and the couple games I've played online are a lot like you described, semi-glitchy and very low scoring, so for now I'm just content grinding through Conquests/Showdowns/etc, trying to find fun cards to play with/level up. Plus with a 1 year old and playing a lot during quick work breaks, nice to be able to break things up. Very much scratches my card collecting/Pokemon love from 25 years ago.

i'd be down to set up a nsbb diamond dynasty league. we could set up restrictions on cards we can use so that no one gets beaten to death by someone's parallel v mike trout or something.

1x 90-95
4x 85-89
7x gold
7x silver
5x bronze
2x common

The couple of times I've tried playing people online was just impossible. Might be a crap connection on my end, but opponent pitches always seemed to stutter/drop frame rate at the last second which threw off my timing.

About to go fulll Derwood because I just had the most satisfying win of my life

I only sit like 500-600 range because im such a bad hitter. Im getting better, slowly, but it still takes at least 4 innings for me to figure out a guy's sequencing and pitch speeds. Not ideal.

I get matched up with one of those guys who has like 80 online wins but is somehow still in my bracket. He's using Feller and I can get a couple guys on every inning but can't string enough together to get a run in. Meanwhile he hits 3 horsefeathers little solo home runs off me and is up 3-0 even though I feel like I'm hitting him better than he's hitting me.

Finally in the 7th I hit one out with Torii Hunter and I can tell he panics a little after my next hitter doubles, so he brings in karinchak and walks the next hitter before giving up a bomb to deJong to give me a 4-3 lead.

Of course I bring in chapman to face Ohtani and Gehrig and walk Ohtani and Gehrig hits the world's horsefeathers home run that I honestly should have caught.

In the 9th he brings in chapman and I basically try to annoy him into walking me, but after about 20 pitches he gets the first couple guys out. I bring in Bench to pinch hit and with two strikes I hit the most pathetic home run i've ever seen. It went about 340, i think the exit velocity was like 90 mph. It embarrassed me to even accept the run but what can you do.

Bottom of the 9th im pitching with Lee Smith and he loads it up with no outs. I figure he's jumpy so I throw a couple low breakers and get a double play at home and first and then a K to escape.

Next inning Edgar Martinez perfect/perfects the first pitch to drive in the lead run and then Biggio drives him in to put me up 7-5. I'm betting he's so pissed at this point that i start really working off the edges (he wouldn't swing at a ball the first 9 innings except with Gary Sanchez for some reason) and get him to pop out ground out strike out for the win. I bet he never plays this game again.

Pulled off a safety squeeze in extra innings during an online events game two weeks ago. Jimmy Rollins at 3rd and Willie McCovey, of all people, laying down the bunt. Dude was furious. Certain his PS5 is in a dumpster somewhere.

His card last year was a killer. Not sure what it was, but some cards just horsefeathers all over the ball and then mellowed out. I got to 20 dingers real fast then they kinda petered out. Happened with Canha, Lux, Yordan, etc.
