Right? I know how we got here but its still strange that the organization is in this shape 5 years after being the crown jewel of the sport.

If you could go back to the second after KB throwing out Martinez, I am not sure you mess the franchise up this badly unless you were trying to. Been pretty amazing.

Arrieta was DFA'd today by the Padres and finishes the season (assuming he is out of chances) with a 7.39 ERA. He can be proud knowing that his career ended with one of the worst seasons in MLB history.

Hopefully, we never hear from or about him again for the rest of his life. He can go live his life in obscurity.
