Every team's fans feel like this, probably, but it's incredible how none of the Daniel Descalso types ever seem to get hurt but our only semi-reliable veteran starter and the non-Bryant guy providing the biggest jolt to the offense go on the injured list on the same day.

Getting Arrieta some rest early on is fine with me, hopefully this is more that than a serious injury. I could see this being the beginning of the end for Winkler with the Cubs

Hoerner’s been doing great so that one stings, but also this current lineup should not be depending on Nico Hoerner to wake them up

Maybe the Cubs are finally using the 10 day IL like they should. In the past is seemed like they've kept guys on the bench for multiple days while recovering from a minor injury while they should just put them on the 10 day and let them actually heal, while also playing shorthanded.

Maybe I missed it but - what happened to Happ? Did he go to the IL?

He hasn't yet. Didn't start either game today. Wildly uneducated guess is he'll be back in the lineup within a day or two, otherwise they would've IL'd him as well.

Knowing our medical staff, he’ll be out the next 3-4 days also, then they’ll IL him and he’ll miss 3 weeks.
